A disturbing incident occurred at the General Post Office (GPO) in Kolkata on September 24, 2024, when a casual employee was caught secretly filming a female colleague in the office’s ladies' bathroom. The accused, Vicky Mollick (34) from Ultadanga, was arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim, a staff member of the GPO.
According to the complaint, the incident took place at around 11:50 a.m. when the complainant was using the bathroom. Mollick was allegedly caught filming the complainant through a slit in the door using his mobile phone. Other office staff caught him red-handed and immediately alerted the authorities.
A case was registered under the Hare Street Police Station, vide case no. 234, dated 24.09.2024, under section 77 of the BNS Act 2023. The police promptly arrested the accused and seized his mobile phone, which is believed to contain the video footage.
Investigations are ongoing to gather more evidence and further probe the matter. This incident has caused a significant stir within the office, raising concerns about workplace safety and privacy.
